Engagement Letter

I provide all of my new clients with a written engagement letter.  The engagement letter will describe the scope of the legal services I am to provide and the financial terms of my representation.  My representation of you does not begin until after you: 1) have reviewed the engagement letter; 2) have signed the engagement letter to acknowledge that you and I have agreed to its terms; 3) have returned a signed copy of the engagement letter to me; and 4) have paid the agreed upon retainer, if any.

The initial phone consultation is free of charge.  Upon being retained, I charge $175.00 per hour for my services.  You will also be required to reimburse me for court filings fees, service of process charges, third part document reproduction charges, parking and transportation charges, postage and delivery charges, court reporter charges and any other cost or expense reasonably related to my representation.  I may request a retainer, depending on the nature of the legal services requested and whether I have represented you in the past.

I am also willing to enter into a Flat Fee Agreement, which is a fixed fee for the specific legal matter for  which I have been retained.  The flat-fee is payable pursuant to a mutually acceptable payment schedule.

Free Phone Consultation

The initial phone consultation is free of charge. Often I can tell you within a few minutes whether I can help you. In any event, I am not your attorney until such time as you and I have both signed and engagement letter, and the terms of that engagement letter have been met.

Clients are seen by appointment only. I am willing to travel to your place of business or home to discuss how I can help you accomplish your goals. Evening and weekend appointments are available.
